FAC is an independent arts and culture magazine based in Dublin that aims to curate the rising generation of Irish artists. I first started collaborating with FAC in March of 2020 and since then I have worked with photographers, artists and writers to represent their work on the FAC website and on the social channels. For these projects I created visual identities for articles on some of the most pressing topics of the last year.

Liveable Dublin was a creative based on the article written by Hannah Weir. The article took a critical look at Dublin's social housing and compared it to Vienna's social housing model. I wanted to visualise a future where we could have a combination of both, so I used the collage style to envision a possible outcome.

This visual was based off of Nicky Anderson's article 'Lets talk about how we all got here'. Nicky explores how the Irish population reacted to the sex scenes in the TV series Normal People. She discusses how the negative reaction reveals our reluctance to discuss sex properly. I wanted to include the stain glass design to reference the more traditional religious values that influence these opinions in Ireland. The drawing of the kiss is used to show intimacy and I left it uncovered to show how we are, and should be more open about sex.

For this creative I used photography from Louis O'Sullivan to support Nicky Anderson's article 'When it's all over" In this article she discusses the pressure to have achieved something during the pandemic, and the excitement of looking to the future and when we can interact again. I wanted to focus on touch and how we miss the small moments of human intimacy that the global pandemic has taken away from us
